Danny’s
Ride, The Final Update
Our riding
ended yesterday. We are all in Charleston through the Memorial
Day weekend. Danny Jr. and his family are
here and went to brunch with Danny and Lynda. Sean enjoyed being
with his fine friends. Charles rode 51 miles with his neighbor,
Paul Deaton, this morning. The ride took less than 3 hours, averaging
over 18 mph. Lydia spent time with her Mom and Sister. Roman is
having a blast at the beach with his family. And Floyd’s wife is
so very pleased to have her arms around him after nine, very long
weeks.
We received a call today from Patsy French. Her best friend
has improved from her car accident and is doing much better in
the Columbia hospital. That is a blessing!
This afternoon we cleared all our belongings out of the trailer.
We also took down our shelves and prepared the trailer for
return to Bubba’s Truck and Trailer. Danny, Roman, Charles, and
Lydia lived out of this trailer. It also carried our bikes -
on top.

We all spent many
hours cleaning the motor home. (See PIC). Lydia worked long
and hard on the inside. Danny, Floyd, and Roman,
worked on the outside removing our sponsor’s logos. It was very
hot, both inside and outside!
The Post and Courier,
the oldest newspaper in the South, published a story in this
morning’s paper. Please click on this site for

The Danny’s Ride show aired tonight on WCSC TV-channel 5.
It began at 6:30 and ended at 7:00. Jim Demauro and Joe Grammer’s
supreme efforts were evident. Lynda and Danny watched with
his extended family at his Mom’s house. Charles watched with
all his family at his sister’s home. Floyd watched with his
wife at home. And Roman watched with Lydia and their family
at his Grandmother’s home. It was a perfect summation of the
effort, pain, purpose, and pride we all felt. We are positive
that all viewers felt they had walked part of the trek in our
shoes after viewing the show and listening to the music.
Thank you all for following and supporting our cause. And thanks
for helping to take our message of early detection and swift
treatment to your friends, family, and to heart.
Love to all,
Danny and Lynda, Floyd, Lydia, Sean, Roman, and Charles
PS – We want to share
a pat on the back to Charles for providing his time, equipment,
and especially his effort, even after long
days on the bike, to do these updates. We also want to thank
2zoe.org and cking@WCSC.com for uploading these memos and thus
allowing them to be shared with you all.
