We departed from West of Cookeville, TN mid-afternoon. We had a live radio interview at 8:35 A.M. with WGSQ Country Giant 94.7 FM. We had another radio interview with WKXD Kicks 106.9 FM. at 10:30 A.M. Kit did the interview live and had experience with cancer in her family. She was very nice and easy to work with. This weekend Kit and Scott Stevens, who is the director of programming along with the radio team, will be participating in Relay for Life in Cookeville. Sean has done a super job getting in contact with all the different media so we can get our message across.

Yellow Shirts We just do not seem to be able to get out of the mountains. We wore our bright yellow shirts today as Highway 70 East has no shoulders. Traffic seems to be much kinder and most people will blow their horns as they pass. Our yellow shirts add a safer dimension than the blue or black shirts we have been wearing.

We had a good ride except for both of us had cramps. Charles had leg cramps and my toes cramped up. The last twenty miles Charles started feeling bad but is feeling a lot better tonight. I started getting a cold but a good nights sleep should make a difference by tomorrow.
