We
departed from Springfield, TN this morning. Our start was a little late
due to the interview with the newspaper. We quickly made the city limits
of Nashville.
Our trek today took us into downtown Nashville, down First Street,
and out through Hermitage, which is about 12 miles east. We stopped early,
just past Hermitage, then Floyd picked us up. We needed to get to Franklin,
our destination, so we could make an appointment with a newspaper reporter
at 3:30.
Franklin is a few miles South of Nashville. It is where Danny’s son
lives with his family.
We will return to our ending point, in Hermitage, which we marked with
yellow paint and continue our ride after our family respite.
Tomorrow we will go to the studio with Danny, Jr. He is a much sought
after and popular studio upright bass player as well as a skilled producer
and arranger. He has a session with Michael Card, a talented guitarist.
We plan to dine out tomorrow night with the entire family for Sean’s
22nd birthday. There will also be some time spent on bike maintenance
and upkeep. Our bikes get lots of attention. Sometimes we do the chains,
swap tires, or adjust them. But tomorrow we hope to go over them from
front to back and top to bottom.
