We started the morning off with an interview with Greg Brown of the
Pratt Tribune and the local radio station. In the radio interview Danny
told the audience to honk if you see him on the road. At first we thought
all the honks were folks telling us to get out of their way. But after
awhile Danny shared with Charles and Roman that the honks were from the
radio interview. We heard honks all day. And when we arrived in Wichita,
a truck driver pulled over to talk with Danny about his cancer experiences.
He had heard the radio show.
We got a smooth picture of
the "boys", Sean and Roman, helping keep
expenses low by sharing a bed. Four were in this room last night.
The ride today seemed long. It was due to the head winds and hard or
rough roads. We road our 75 plus miles to Wichita, KA and stopped at
a hotel. We will make it to Derby tomorrow. Ryan Moore, with the Derby
Daily Reporter, was waiting on Danny to interview him.
We
have two TV stations and a radio call-in show to do tomorrow morning
and then we will be off to Derby. These stations and papers are affording
us an opportunity to reach far more people than small talks with groups.
We are so appreciative of their interest and time.
We are hoping to hear from a civic club in Springfield.
Since we are a day ahead of schedule it is much easier to set up talks,
interviews, and sessions.
We’re having some ups and
downs, but overall the ridding is great and the experiences are wonderful.
