One of Danny's ideas, from the beginning, was to dip his bicycle tires into the Pacific Ocean, travel across the US, and dip a tire in the Atlantic once he arrived back home in Charleston. Here is a picture of Danny and his crew leaving Santa Monica Pier on the west coast at 7 A.M., the first goal of Danny's plans to be realized.
